Once you reach level 5 as a Sorcerer, you may choose to remain that way or to specialize either Archmage or Swordmage. The Archmages believe in the pureness of Essence, that armour can interfere with spells purity, and that their staff can handle anything. The Swordmage feels there is strength enough between spells and armour to overcome any foe. The original Sorcerers felt things were fine the way things were. You will find some spell similarity in the branches, and yet each branch is unique.
